Chapter: 1066
The bald man, however, Julie had never seen before. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that his arms were interlaced with various scars, mostly from knife cuts. Julie couldn't help but feel nervous.
Jack and Grover saw them at the same time, and they immediately straightened and went over to meet the two women.
"Miss Jenkins, Mrs. Jenkins," Jack greeted.
“Allow us to get the luggage for you."
Julie had brought two suitcases with her, and Maria had been the one to put them in the car before they came here.
They were considerably huge, but given Maria's strength, hauling them into the trunk was no problem at all.
Of course, with Jack around, she didn't need to bother with them anymore.
“This is my mother," Maria introduced Julie to Grover.
"Nice to meet you, Grandma!" Grover exclaimed before anyone else could utter a word.
Julie froze in a mix of horror and shock.
She was particularly stunned by the way Grover had addressed her.
What was happening now?
“Maria... He..." Julie couldn't bring herself to even speak coherently.
"My name is Grover Moreno," Grover said in earnest. "And I am a distant nephew of Maria. She's my aunt and you're her mother, so I believe that makes you my grandmother-in a way."
No sooner had he finished speaking than he received a smack to the back of the head, courtesy of Jack.
.. uit dawdling and carry the Luggage inside.”
“Right, of course."
Grover did not dare to Lose his temper in front of a Level four warrior like Jack. He obediently took the suitcases and carried them inside the villa.
Julie watched him go, her mind racing. Grover looked Like he was just a few years younger than her.
"I had no idea we had such relatives," she muttered to Maria, feeling rather restless at the prospect.
"I actually picked him up from the streets," Maria replied nonchalantly.
This confused Julie even more.
She had heard about coincidentally picking up money from the streets before, and even expensive things like cell phones. But a person? Unbeknownst to her, she was in for yet another surprise.
The moment they stepped into the foyer, she saw Anthony walking toward them.
