The assistant director had posed this question to the chief director who could only smile wryly as a response.

The chief director didn't know how to best put this into words.

Even though his show had ranked top among all the reality shows this year, he knew he couldn't afford to be complacent. This industry was cut-throat and could change overnight. He still had to remain respectful to certain leaders in the industry such as Yeez Entertainment .

“Maria... was recommended to us by Mr. Bradley of Yeez Entertainment, so of course I could not decline." The chief director finally revealed the truth, feeling a Little embarrassed at his Lack of control over the situation.

“What? Mr. Bradley? Is that true?" The assistant director thought he'd misheard when he heard this.

In view of Jeremy's prestige in the entertainment circle, no wonder that the chief director let him get his way this time.

The assistant director still felt annoyed at this and he muttered under his breath, "Mr. Bradley does not seem to be as reasonable as the rumors paint him out to be, does he? He's awkwardly made it so we're stuck with a high school student in our show now - great!"

Some other members of the production team overheard these comments and nodded in agreement.

They might perhaps be able to tolerate Maria’s small influence in the industry but they couldn't look past the fact that she came from a lower education background, which didn't go well with the purpose of this show.

The director shook his head with a bitter smile at the group. "No, it's not Like that. Mr. Bradley made two promises to help ensure our seventh episode will be recorded and released successfully."

“What did he promise?" Everyone present asked in unison.

“Firstly, Mr. Bradley has promised to give us another top-quality special guest for our shooting. Talking about Darren; and he has already joined our crew. As you all can see, his follower count is higher than our three permanent's members combined!"

Everyone seemed satisfied with the first promise.

Darren was a superstar in the e-sports sphere and had long enjoyed a big fan base.

Even the assistant director Looked in better spirits after hearing this appointment.

“Secondly, Mr. Bradley has suggested that Maria might surprise us by being the highlight of this show."

The whole room was fixed on the director now, waiting for him to continue.

The director could only shrug helplessly and say, “Mr. Bradley didn't give me a detailed story. I had no choice but to believe him!" No one could believe what they'd just heard.

“Mr. Bradley is too unreasonable..." The assistant director looked genuinely depressed now.

The way it seemed to him, Jeremy had just talked the talk. When it came down to it, they had been left with no choice but to accept Maria into the crew.

"Anyway!" The director turned everyone's attention back to the seventh episode of My College Life which was ready to shoot.

“There's nothing we can do now. Maria is part of the show, whether we like it or not. Now, we must focus only on successfully recording this episode. If it somehow doesn't work out in the end... I will delete Maria's scenes."

This final comment worked in bringing the majority of the team back on the side of the director.
