Chapter: 1082
The director had seen photos of the other young man before. He was a young talented writer, and his name was Merlin Newman-the secretary-general of the Sheffield Writers‘ Association.
But they couldn't understand why Maria was also here.
“Darren, serve the guests some tea," Maria calmly said. The whole team was dumbfounded. What was with her attitude?
Why was she acting Like a hostess that was meant to entertain guests and why would she even order Darren to serve them tea like he was a mere waiter?
At that point, everyone was stunned. But Maria simply glanced at them and explained, “Darren is good at making tea and coffee. You should give it a try."
"Oh." Lyman slowly nodded in understanding. "Well... May I have some coffee, then?"
“Sure,” Darren expressionlessly replied.
What the hell is going on?!
The director felt like he was going crazy.
He didn't know how to continue filming at that point.
Why was Maria sitting with Curt Willows and having tea with him Like they were old friends?
What happened to Darren?
He was the God of E-Sports, after all. He shouldn't be taking orders from anyone.
The turnout of the program would definitely be better now that they were in the dean's office. They just had to find a way to carry on with the shoot now.
They were met with a surprise when they entered the office though. What were Maria and Darren doing in the dean's office?
The director and his whole team were all in shock. When they finally recovered, they realized that the ten minutes they were given were gone and they didn't get anything useful.
“Excuse me, please... Can you give us a little more time to shoot?" the director asked Merlin shamelessly.
Maria hadn't even bothered to Look at them since they came in, and the director was just too embarrassed to ask Maria for help.
"That won't be possible, sorry. My teacher is very busy and can't spare any more time for you. If you can excuse us now," Merlin said politely.
“But... We are with her.” The director finally pointed at Maria.
Merlin quirked an eyebrow.
“Really? I don't think so. If you were really with Maria, why didn't you come with her to visit our teacher in the first place?"
The director looked away, embarrassed. Merlin certainly didn't mince his words. But what could he do?
Merlin was after all a promising young talent in the literary world, and if he bothered to get the details, he would find out that the director had deliberately left Maria out.
