Chapter: 1086
Seeing the relationships between the show's participants was a big part of this reality TV series.

"I'm so nervous about going to the north campus of Sheffield University. It's where all the scientific talents go for their majors," said Shera.

Beuford nodded in agreement but added, “Although the entry score for Sheffield University is slightly Lower than that of Broome University, many of their schools are competitive with Broome University."

Lyman, who was listening in, piped up at the moment.

“My first choice back then was Sheffield University's School of Mathematics."

“Uh-huh? And did you get accepted?" Beuford inquired. Lyman was part of the cast because viewers generally found him very amusing.

ALL the actors knew that Lyman was joking but they couldn't let on early for the sake of the show.

Lyman said with a chuckle, “Regretfully, I missed the entry score by a tiny 100 points. I was admitted, instead, by the community college in my hometown,"

In unison, everyone aboard the bus burst into Laughter!

A tiny gap of 100 points? Regretfully missed? It was too funny! Lapping up the attention, Lyman was about to continue his facetious comments.

Before he could continue though, Vivian had interrupted him.

“Maria, if you have the chance, will you apply for Sheffield University?"

An awkward silence suddenly enveloped the car and the camera swiveled to face Maria.

Everyone present knew that Maria only went as far as high school in her education.

Vivian had been cunning in the way she'd worded her question. She didn't seem to openly ridicule Maria's lowly educational background. Vivian had sounded as sweet as an angel in her tone when she'd asked.

Maria had graduated from a middle school way out in the countryside before entering an equally lousy high school there. She probably didn't even have her SAT test!

Would she consider applying for Sheffield University? It was actually a trick question.

If Maria said yes, she would just sound too full of herself. Then, people would laugh at her for her stupid arrogance.

If she said no, it would mean that she looked down on the Sheffield University. She would then offend its alumni and students.

“Sheffield University, huh?"

Maria collected her thoughts before replying, “If I wish to study science, I would consider the School of Mathematics and Science first. My second choice would be the School of Electronic Engineering. The School of Medicine would be my third choice. For all three of these areas, the Sheffield University has an absolute advantage over Broome University. In the other schools of science, I think Broome University is the better choice."

Vivian hadn't expected this answer from Maria. Shera had her mouth wide open too in disbelief. Beuford stared at Maria without blinking. He Looked Like he was about to scream.

Lyman wanted to Laugh but at the meanwhile he had also been immobilized in shock.

“Ahem! "
