Chapter: 1114
At the thought that Maria's career prospects might be ruined before they had even taken off, Julie couldn't help but clench her fists.
But Anthony continued to smile calmly.
“Rest assured. I'll take care of it right away."
No sooner had he said this than he took out a red phone from his pocket.
His fingers danced on the screen, moving nimbly as a seasoned pianist would with his keys.
“ALL we need to do," Julie heard him muttering to himself, “is to hack into the show's official website and release the uncensored version of the episode. Of course, let's not forget about the voting system. I'1L tamper with it and render the results invalid, forcing the audience to vote again."
“Did he just say he was going to hack into the show's website?" Julie asked herself, utterly dumbfounded by the whole situation.
Not only that, but Anthony had mentioned tampering with the voting results as well!
Was he serious about this?
Was he even capable of this stuff?
And he was trying to do all of this on his phone? How was that even possible?
Julie soon got the answers she wanted.
On the screen, the show's broadcast glitched, and then froze for a few seconds.
The screen turned black, and then out of nowhere, the first part of My College Life's seventh episode started playing again.
“What happened? What's wrong with the broadcast?"
The chief director of the show was at the company headquarters, tuning in to the broadcast. He was understandably alarmed when the channel suddenly went blank.
He was just about to make some calls when everything went back to normal.
The show was designed to air the first part on a loop today, while the second part would be aired tomorrow.
And so, the director thought nothing of it when the episode started back from the beginning.
The show commenced as usual.
The ratings online seemed to be stable so far. A portion of the audience had decided to sit through a second broadcast, probably to catch some details they might have missed. In addition to that, there were also those who had missed the premiere entirely, who were now hunkering down to watch the full part for the first time.
It started with the scene where the show's regular hosts greeted the invited guests, but it quickly became apparent that this second broadcast was different from the first one.
Shera, Beuford, and Lyman were all smiles as they greeted Vivian, and they were particularly keen on welcoming Darren to the show. When it was Maria's turn to be introduced, however, they all acted like she didn't exist.
They barely glanced at her, instantly turning away with undisguised disdain on their faces.
