Maria was so embarrassed that she wanted to disappear off the face of the earth.

But Anthony persisted. He said, "I'm curious to know if I'll meet your standards."

Maria thought for a moment and then typed away.

Before she could add more, Maria was stunned by her instant response.

“Holy cow! What was I just trying to say?"

She was surprised that the first person that came to her mind was Anthony. It was also evident that she was so strongly influenced by Sophie that her desire was driven by money!

“Hey, we must not pursue this matter!"

Thereafter, Maria decided to change the subject.

She deleted the words and retyped.

“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

After a short while, she received Anthony's reply.

He sent a smiling face emoji.

Maria quickly asked, “What have you been attending to at Wilson's? Do you need my help?"

"No, it's no big deal. I don't require any help, thanks. Raymond has cancelled Jack's qualification to attend the grade estimation of the Ancient Martial Arts Association. I returned to the Wilson's to help Jack regain his qualification."

Although Anthony relayed the message in a casual tone, Maria believed that Raymond must have prepared his tactics to confront Anthony.
