Chapter: 1163
Since Bryce Cooper had not arrived yet, Bill took the liberty to ask the charming, sexy Patricia for a kiss. Patricia responded lLustily.
It was only when they heard the knock at the door that Bill let go of Patricia, straightened his shirt, and wiped the Lipstick marks off his face.
“Mr. Cooper!" Patricia opened the door herself. She was pleased that Bryce had come as expected and welcomed him with a charming smile into the VIP room.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Jenkins, Miss Hughes."
Bryce took a seat calmly. His eyes only rested on Patricia for a short moment, and then fell on Bill for a much Longer time, as if he had a keen interest in him.
Although Bryce was the most famous lawyer in Sheffield, he was still quite young. Barely forty.
Bryce, who was burly and about six feet tall, was the epitome of a handsome man in a suit.
“Mr. Cooper, the case that we want you to handle this time..." Patricia patiently explained the situation to him in a sweet voice. Bryce only took a sip of his wine after Patricia spoke her Last word and rested in silence.
"Mr. Jenkins, the situation is very simple. You were married to Mrs. Jenkins for twenty years. Although you both didn't have your own children, you jointly adopted two daughters."
That is correct
"I broke up with Julie peacefully. But if she suddenly accuses me of being a negligent husband, will that affect the division of property in our divorce?" Bill asked.
Such a question would only arise if there was a guilty party. Both Bill and Patricia turned crimson with guilt.
Obviously, Bryce was used to this kind of scenario. He secretly analyzed Patricia for a while and then quickly looked away.
“This divorce should be simple and clear cut, unless Mrs. Jenkins comes up with solid evidence, say videos or photos showing adultery. Or that Mr. Jenkins has an illegitimate child with another woman. Apart from that, if Mrs. Jenkins only verbally accused Mr. Jenkins of inappropriate behavior in the marriage, it would not carry much weight in a court of law."
Bill breathed a deep sigh of relief.
He knew Julie too well. She was a proud woman.
She would never stoop so low as to taking pictures of them or following them secretly.
Julie would never have any evidence of his misdemeanors.
So, in this divorce case, Bill believed that he could slide off easily and get everything he believed he was entitled to!
After double-checking some basic information with Bill, Bryce set to work while enjoying the delicious food.
“Ha-ha! Mr. Cooper, you are trying to be super-efficient. Let's finish this delicious meal first then we can work on the finer details of my case. Otherwise, I will feel bad. Come on!"
Bill was in a good mood and drank several glasses of wine as if he were already celebrating his “happily divorced" status.
He even rubbed Patricia's thigh draped in silk stockings several times under the table and even played footsie with her.
Bryce smiled and explained, "I have several urgent cases on hand. I want to get past this one so that I can concentrate on those more complicated ones."
