Chapter: 1185
Julie just Looked at Anthony with sympathy in her eyes as though Maria really didn't treat him fairly.
Then she turned to Anthony and said, “Anthony, can we talk? Alone?" She still had to tackle one issue.
“Mom, are you hiding something from me?" Maria was surprised.
"Yes! It's a secret," Julie said firmly as if scolding her, but her heart bled for her daughter.
A wedding day in the life of a girl was something they all dreamt about.
It was simply repugnant that Bill would want to ruin his daughter's wedding.
Julie didn't want to tell Maria what was going on and taint her thoughts of her wedding. She didn't want Maria to sit many years later and still think of how Bill and Patricia tried to ruin her wedding. That was why she preferred talking to Anthony alone first. Maybe they could come up with something without involving Maria.
They left Maria alone in the Living room and went to the yard to talk. Once Julie filled Anthony in on everything, she asked with worry etched in her voice, "Anthony, both the copyright of Maria's work and the wedding are very important, but I don't know how to protect both.
Do you think you can do something?"
Anthony stayed silent for long after that.
His silence only made Julie more nervous. She knew that it wasn't an easy thing, but at least, Anthony had to find a way.
Or was he annoyed that Bill would want to destroy their wedding?
Maybe he was sick of all this drama that surrounded Maria. In any case, she just hoped that Anthony wouldn't get angry and abandon Maria for what Bill had done.
Julie knew that these famous families valued their reputation very much. If the bride's father refused to attend her own wedding or caused trouble, it would taint their reputation.
Julie was already giving up all hope when Anthony finally said, "Don't worry. I'll take care of it."
She looked up at him in surprise but then found him pointing towards the villa.
She looked up and saw Maria staring at them unhappily through the French window.
“I bet she read our lips. Maria must know what is going on now,” Anthony said with a shake of his head.
Julie's mouth dropped slightly open. Could Maria really read Lips from this distance?
Maria sighed.
She blew her breath on the French window and wrote something for them to see from the yard.
“Don't worry."
Vivian spent the day on edge, waiting for Julie to give them an answer. She sighed and looked at her father with a pout.
“Dad, what's happening? Did mom not say anything to Maria? Or do you think Maria refused?"
