Chapter: 1188
Vivian was still in a state of shock and disbelief.
She swallowed and stammered, “Maria. She's going to send me a. a lawyer's notice."
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
Bill asked impatiently and walked to her.
He seized Vivian's phone and saw what she was looking at.
It was the official Twitter account of Yeez Entertainment. "But. How is this possible?" Bill was horrified.
Yeez Entertainment just made a statement.
“In view of the fact the Hughes Group has repeatedly infringed on the copyright interests of Maria Jenkins AKA Mia's original work Female Military Counsellor, we, entrusted by Miss Jenkins herself, will do its best to stop the infringement of the Hughes Group. The Law will protect the interests of Miss Jenkins, and the infringers will pay the heavy price.”
At the end of their post, they tagged the Cooper Law Firm. Bill still couldn't believe what he was reading.
He blinked several times before he found his voice to ask Patricia, "Do you know the Cooper Law Firm?"
From their reactions, Patricia could already tell that something was wrong, but after hearing that name, her face paled.
She gulped nervously and said, “It's Bryce Cooper's law firm. One of the top ten domestic Law firms. Why? What about it?”
Bill's face got even paler.
He frowned and said through gritted teeth, "That unfilial girl actually contacted them to deal with us. Damn it! Bryce refused to help us last time, saying that he had another important case which he had to deal with personally."
As if that was not enough, Patricia, Vivian and Bill read another announcement on the Internet.
Novel Hub also announced that it would cooperate with Yeez Entertainment to protect Mia's copyrights.
Not long after that, the official account of Cooper Law Firm replied on their page, “We accept the case that both companies are entrusting to us. We will do our best to protect the legal interests of Miss Jenkins."
Vivian was in total shock of all that was happening.
The one-sided statement issued by Hughes Group caused their downfall. The Hughes Group was now in huge trouble.
Bryce wasn't known as the most famous and the best Lawyer in Sheffield for nothing. He filed such a strong Lawsuit that the team of lawyers Patricia hired couldn't win the case.
At the end of it all, it was concluded by the court that Vivian plagiarized Mia's work.
Naturally, the movie Song of Phoenix wasn't approved to film.
The website which was promoted by Hughes Group, was closed down.
It didn't end there. Boden called and said the Smith family would withdraw all their investment from Sheffield, and would end all cooperation with Hughes Group.
