Chapter: 1202
“Yes, that is correct! The industries run by the ancient martial arts families were all special areas that ordinary people won't be able to enter in their lifetime. Only when Miss Jenkins returns to her clan will she finally have the chance to truly become an ancient martial artist. Otherwise, she will always be an ordinary person!"
Cyril declared excitedly.
Would Maria go back to Broome to live with the Jenkins there? Julie wondered. She was really worried about Maria.
She didn't think it would do Maria much good to go to Broome.
However, since this was about the Jenkins family, Julie was aware that she had no right to interfere.
"Do you want to go home with them?" Julie whispered into Maria's ear. "Go home? What are you talking about?" Maria replied, shaking her head.
“This is my home.”
Julie's eyes widened in surprise. Tears filled her eyes when she heard that.
Maria rarely spoke in general, let alone such touching words.
At that point, Cyril was speechless.
He had gone through great lengths to explain the Jenkins family's aspirations, but he still failed to persuade her to go back with them. However, he still had the option to take her back by force.
Mrs. Jenkins ordered that family members over the age of forty could decide for themselves if they wanted to return or not.
The younger generation, on the other hand, must all go home whether they want to or not.
They wouldn't have sent Cyril had it not been for such strict rules. They, however, had no idea that some of the descendants from those who got exiled decades ago would be able to hire powerful ancient martial arts artists as bodyguards.
Cyril nervously gulped as he shifted his gaze to Jack and Grover who were standing nearby. He decided to give up on taking Maria by force.
Since Maria didn't seem interested in the proposal, he began to wonder how he could persuade her to return to Broome.
Just then, someone walked inside the villa.
A girl who was about the same age as Maria quickly walked into the
Living room.
The girl looked absolutely gorgeous even though she Looked somewhat like a nerd.
“Hi, Antony and Aunt Julie!"
That girl was Judy.
After she politely greeted Julie and Antony, she sat down next to Maria. Then, she grabbed a handful of cherries from the bowl that Maria was holding and ate them as she looked at Cyril and Hodge standing in the living room.
“Are they here to sell something?" Judy asked as she ate the cherries. Cyril instantly felt embarrassed.
