Chapter: 1234
But just then, something occurred to her, and her expression soured. Vivian said in a Low voice, "Dad, it Looks Like Doris is announcing the grades from the Lowest to the highest, right? Maria is the only one who hasn't received her grade yet. Does that mean she scored higher than I did?"
Vivian had just finished speaking when she heard Doris say, “Maria... Grade One... Minus."
Grade One Minus?
But how?
Even Shaun who was at the lowest level before this looked at Maria in shock.
The contestants were confused in that moment...
Or rather, they were amused.
Their efforts to get close to Maria earlier were useless.
Now, they all looked at her proudly, clearly Looking down on her.
Doris didn't need to say anything anymore. The name was self-explanatory. This Grade One Minus was obviously lower that the first grade.
To everyone's dismay though, Maria seemed unbothered by this. Her lips curved upward into a small smile.
Doris looked straight at her and said, “Maria, being on the lowest level of the talent test, the resources you will receive from the clan will be very limited compared to the others. From my calculations, Vivian will have thirty times the resources you will get."
Still, Maria's smile remained intact, and this annoyed Doris who had expected to see Maria break down. With this calm attitude of Maria's, how was she to make fun of her?
Next to Maria, Shaun's face spread into a full-blown smile when what was happening finally sank in. He wasn't at the Lowest level. Maria was way below him.
On her side, Vivian felt like she was on cloud nine. She didn't know exactly how those resources worked, but receiving thirty times more than Maria? That was a cause for celebration.
She suddenly felt Like she was being vindicated for all the times Maria had stepped on her in the entertainment circle.
“Now that your grades have been announced, I will distribute your first batch of resource. They will be your servants," Doris announced to the hearing of everyone.
The new recruits of the Jenkins family were confused for a moment before they noticed the ten men and women dressed in servant clothing behind Doris.
Not all of them Looked particularly handsome or beautiful.
The person that stood out the most among them, and not in a good way, was a little girl at the end of the line. She looked like she was malnourished.
Maria recognized the little girl at a glance. Isla, the room attendant.
The contestants were already talking and planning how their training would be. Doris cleared her throat to get their attention.
"I'm sure you see the ten people behind me. Nine of them received personal training from their families and have reached the primary stage of ancient martial arts."
Doris then stepped to the side and pointed at Isla before she continued, “This last one however, is just an ordinary person. She is just a humble servant."
