Chapter: 1263
She felt as if she had returned to the time when she was a star, with countless fans supporting her

Until now, she hadn't realized how much she had missed this feeling. It made her feel as if she was on top of the world again.

Even Avianna, Shaun, and the others who had been summoned back with her wasted no time in congratulating her in the group chat.

But Vivian soon noticed that there was clearly one name missing from the group of people who had congratulated her: Maria.

Was Maria jealous of her? Or was she afraid of her? Whatever it was, Vivian now had the upper hand, and she couldn't help sneering inwardly at the thought.

During her time at the Jenkins family's estate, she had learned a lot about the ancient martial world, and knew that it was an honor to be chosen to be a pill alchemist. It was a marvelous job that promised a bright future.

But she had never imagined that she would have the talent to be a pill alchemist.

“Thank you all. Doris, am I the only one in the family selected to be trained to be a pill alchemist?" Vivian deliberately asked in the group chat.

"Yes, Miss Vivian. Being a pill alchemist takes a lot of skill and talent. Not everyone is qualified for the job,”

Doris answered quickly. She had no idea that Vivian's lips spread into a smug smile upon seeing her message.

Doris continued, "There is a third grade pill alchemist in the Jenkins family called Elton Acosta. He will be your teacher.

Everyone, please note that Mr. Acosta will formally accept Miss Vivian as his apprentice tomorrow. All the ladies and gentlemen in the group chat must attend the ceremony and congratulate the two of them in person. It will be held in the alchemy Laboratory of the family.”

The Jenkins family had not held any celebrations in a long while.

In preparation for the apprentice ceremony, the manor was decorated beautifully.

People flocked to the Zenith Pavilion, where Vivian and her father stayed, as soon as Doris announced Vivian's assessment results and her affinity with alchemy.

At the moment, only the real members of the clan, the ones tied with blood, were permitted to visit.

Most of these people were notable figures either in the social circle or the business Landscape, while the others were prime talents in the world of ancient martial arts. To put it simply, they were the elite, the cream of the crop.

Naturally, they came bearing gifts.

Someone claiming to be Vivian's aunt brought jewelry worth hundreds of thousands.

A man who was supposed to be her uncle drove a Luxury car over and directly handed the key over to her.

Even the relatively modest ones were not remiss, and gave her envelopes flush with wads of cash. By the looks of it, Vivian estimated the envelopes to amount to at least twenty thousand dollars.

She was over the moon. Since returning to the family's fold, Vivian had been receiving a living allowance of one hundred thousand a month, thanks to her fifth-level talent.

Both she and Bill were notorious spenders, however, and they squandered money as though they grew it in a tree. Needless to say, a hundred thousand was nowhere near enough to sustain their lifestyle.

Her father had a taste for opulence, a trait that Vivian shared. They liked living well beyond their means.
