Chapter: 1283
The auction venue was a very large place. It was impossible to see where it ended just by looking at it.
Temporary warehouses and shops were set up everywhere in the market. They looked very simple, but a majority of their items were very valuable.
An elliptical building that looked Like a large theatre stood at the centre of the market.
It was obviously the auction venue, especially since it was the only place in the market that demanded a ticket.
“Have fun, guys. And remember to show up at the auction hall with your ticket in an hour. Not a minute later than that," Doris said sternly. As everyone dispersed, Elton just stared at Maria longingly.
“Miss Maria..."
Isla rushed up to Maria at the moment, looking pale and tears streaming down her face.
‘sla? What's wrong?" Maria asked.
“I... I lost our ticket..." Isla started, and then burst into tears.
"You lost it?" Maria frowned. That was when she noticed a few of the other Jenkins staring in her direction with what one could only call gloating expressions.
“Yes... I..." Isla was mortified and guilty. This was the worse thing she could do to her master.
"Let me see the bag," Maria said and immediately took the bag.
A few things were scattered inside-- tissue, a phone charger, some water bottles, snacks and other little things.
Maria had thrown the ticket into the bag earlier too before giving Isla to carry.
The bag was clearly ripped open by something sharp.
And looking into the bag, the only thing that was missing was the auction ticket, so it couldn't be some coincidence.
“What on earth! Someone stole from you? It has to be someone that rode the same vehicle as Isla." Grover was very angry at this point, but he was right.
Who else would have had the opportunity to do that? The attendants who shared the same car as Isla looked at each other. Of course, Vivian's attendant was among them.
"Miss Maria, just Let me search them right now!" Grover glared at all of them, ready to punish the culprit.
He was actually a very powerful man. And if he put his mind to it, he could easily take down these dozen attendants who were only in the first grade of martial arts.
Maria shook at head calmly at him.
However, other members of the Jenkins family had heard him and refused to let go.
“What was that? You're just a mere servant and you want to search us?"
"You must be crazy! Who gave you the right?"
