Chapter: 1365
Despite being a novice, Isla had secured a spot in the final

There was no denying that Isla possessed boundless potential as a pill alchemist and her cultivation prospects were exceedingly promising!

“May fortune favor you and may you bear no burdens of the mind," Canaan couldn't resist offering his encouragement.

“Um? I understand! Thank you, sir!"

Isla stood there, dumbfounded.

Having always occupied the Lowest rung within the Jenkins family, she never anticipated that one day a figure as eminent as Canaan would extend his support to her.

Isla's heart swelled with profound emotion!

She felt immense gratitude for Canaan's uplifting words and even more so for Maria, whose intervention had altered the course of her destiny!

Meanwhile, the judges and elders commenced their examination of Barbara's assortment of medicinal materials.

However, upon prying open the containers housing Barbara's ingredients, they were greeted with an array of foul-smelling and unsightly substances.

“A hundred-year-old bone?"

“Tomb flowers?”

“Deadly manjusaka?"

Initially taken aback, Canaan's shock quickly transformed into ire.

He exclaimed vehemently, "Barbara! Do you intend to concoct pills or brew poison?"

"There's something wrong with Barbara's preparation of the medicinal materials! She should be disqualified from the final competition!" exclaimed Canaan with great vehemence, his voice reverberating throughout the entire scene.

Barbara, feeling a surge of guilt, blushed profusely and cast her gaze downwards.

Though she had anticipated some problems with the toxic herbs she used, Canaan's reaction far exceeded her expectations, leaving her taken aback.

Meanwhile, on the stage, Mrs. Jenkins finally rose to her feet, leisurely descending the steps to face the assembled crowd.

"Madam, there seems to be something wrong with Barbara's medicinal materials. I believe it is imperative to..." began Canaan, only to be abruptly silenced by a wave of Mrs. Jenkins's hand.

"I am not deaf. Saying once is sufficient. There's no need for repetition," she interjected casually, her tone betraying an air of nonchalance.

“Well..." Canaan faltered, his righteous indignation subsiding as he beheld the composed countenance of Mrs. Jenkins. He felt utterly helpless at that moment.

“It appears that her intention was to concoct a poison pill. Does that pose any problems?" Mrs. Jenkins inquired, a smile gracing her Lips.

"You are aware of her intentions? And yet, you allow her to proceed?" Canaan demanded angrily.
