Chapter: 1430
Jeff couldn't help but steal a curious glance at Maria.

“Yes, I know him. He's the singer, Jeff," Maria answered indifferently. ALL of a sudden, Barbara burst into laughter.

‘The singer, Jeff'?

How stupid was this bitch? Jeff was considered a god in the music industry!

It was to offensive to address Jeff as merely a singer!

At least, that was how it seemed in Barbara's eyes.

Jeff, on the other hand, had a completely different reaction.

She... How could she know about that... Jeff was both stunned and confused.

“The singer, Jeff."

That was the username he used on Twitter when he just started his career and was stuck at the bottom of the music industry.

Jeff had always dreamed to be a singer, and he would've become content to sing for the rest of his life.

Later, after getting the song from his benefactor, Jeff skyrocketed to fame as soon as his first solo was released. His agency's PR team also had his Twitter username changed in order to attract more followers

And just like that, his username, "The singer, Jeff" was erased from history.

Even Jeff used to smile bitterly at the thought that his humble origin of a username would never be remembered by anyone.

“Could Maria be one of Jeff's first few fans?"

This idea occurred to both Jeff and Alena, and somehow, they inexplicably felt a vague sense of familiarity with Maria.

Feeling Jeff's intrigued gaze, Maria turned to him and smiled.

“Don't worry. We'll talk about it after the auction," she said cryptically.

The way she spoke to Jeff made it sound as though they had been friends for many years.

"Okay..." Jeff was too stunned to say anything more, so he just agreed.

He even found himself wondering what this rising starlet wanted to talk to him about.

At this time, Barbara butted in again. She could see that Maria and Jeff were sitting incredibly close to each other, so she decided to take advantage of it to stir up trouble.

“Maria, since you've already met Mr. Cooper before, then you must know this beautiful Lady sitting next to him, right?"

Barbara's tone was a little exaggerated, especially when she said the words "beautiful lady". Even Alena had accepted that she was just a plain Jane, compared with Maria and Barbara, so it was obvious that Barbara didn't really mean it.
