Chapter: 1477
Doris' voice came through the crystal clear beaded curtain.

“Not yet. Don't worry, Mrs, Jenkins, I'll wait until Miss Herrera comes back

Mrs. Jenkins shook her head. After a moment, she realized Doris wouldn't be able to see her behind the curtain.

“There's no need to wait up for her, She won't come back tonight."

“What?" Doris blurted out in surprise.

“Don't you think the progress between the two of them is a bit too fast?"

“Hmm... Yes, it's a bit hasty indeed, but it doesn't matter, It's also part of my plan."

Barbara didn't return to the Jenkins family house that night. Meanwhile, Maria left the Lemna Yard before the sun set below the horizon.

In a luxurious villa district of Broome. Walking up to the door of a villa, Maria turned to look at Anthony, who in turn gave a go-ahead gesture by nodding his head. She then proceeded to place her right index finger on the electronic lock situated on the right side of the door.

“Beep, beep, beep

The electronic lock flashed a green light as it verified Maria's fingerprint. With a click sound, the door unlocked.

Anthony had more than one villa in Broome. Maria's fingerprints had been logged into all the security systems of Anthony's villas so that she could get access to them whenever she wanted.

Surprisingly, the inside of the villa was not filled with anything luxurious. Anthony had gone for a simple style.

White was the main hue, and there were a few pieces of furniture lying around, but not as many as there should be for a room of its size. This had the effect of making the room even more spacious.

The study was located on the second floor and was spacious, There were three large screens which were comparable to an LCD TV sitting on a huge computer table.

In front of the desk was only one chair. Maria hesitated, unsure as to whether she should sit on it or offer it to Anthony instead.

“Please, do take a seat." Anthony seemed to have read her mind and decided to steal the opportunity to speak.

“Oh, no! It would be better if you take the seat," Maria said softly. A smile spread across Anthony's face.

“Well, you can either sit on it, or on my legs. Which would you prefer?"

Hearing that, a flush of red appeared on Maria's cheeks. Immediately and quietly, she sat down on the chair.

An uneasy feeling hit Maria as she noticed that Anthony was staring at her with a look that seemed all meaningful.

“Well, we should get started." Maria knew that the best way to escape embarrassing moments was to change the topic at hand.

Without waiting for Anthony's reply, she began typing on the keyboard, her hands flowing across its keys like she was playing the piano.

The response from the computer was instantaneous.
