Chapter: 149
Raymond gritted his teeth, feeling very dissatisfied.
He scoffed in heart, not able to blame Maria. He reckoned that she had never heard of Heaven since she was just a country bumpkin. How would she be aware of this sanctuary-like organization of the online world?
As for Anthony, Raymond assumed that he was just pretending to be calm so as to hide his jealousy. He bet that deep inside, Anthony already felt very threatened.
At the same time, Mandy also felt that she was being underestimated. Therefore, she couldn't help asking, “Mr. Wilson, do you think that my resume is mediocre? Is that it?"
Mandy became famous back when she was still very young. She had always obtained special recommendation upon entering college and until she finished her postgraduate study at a top university.
Thus, she couldn't accept the fact that Anthony seemed to look down upon her, when she had received applause and awards all her life.
As if she didn't hear Mandy, Anthony's eyes were still fixed on the menu.
He didn't plan to humiliate Mandy, but the reason was simple. He hadn't finished ordering for Maria. Knowing that his fiancee didn't have much to eat for Lunch, he didn't have time to talk to Mandy before he could order what Maria wanted to eat.
However, out of nowhere, Maria uttered casually, "Yes. It is very mediocre."
In fact, Maria stared intently at the membership card that Mandy deliberately put on the table and said those words clearly.
Hearing this statement come from Maria, Mandy could only burst into laughter in her exasperation
Slightly trembling in anger, she grabbed her membership card, waved it in front of Maria, and asked, "Do you know what this is? This is the membership card given to the hackers of Heaven, a very elite organization! Did you just say that my accomplishments are mediocre? Coming from you? Why? Do you even have something Like this?"
The membership cards issued to hackers from the organization came in three distinct colors: gray, white, and red. These colors indicated the skill level of the cardholder, from low to high respectively.
Mandy had a gray card, meaning that she was at the Lowest level of Heaven's membership circle.
Maria stared blankly at the gray card for a few seconds before shaking her head. "No, I don't have this one."
In fact, she was just stating the truth. As one of the top hackers in Heaven, Maria did not have a gray card, but a red one.
Moreover, unlike most of the other members of Heaven, she hadn't had to climb the membership ranks step by step, but instead had obtained the red card the moment she joined.
Hearing that Maria didn't have a card, Mandy sneered.
She didn't want to waste any more time talking to her.
After all, why should an elite talent like her bother talking to a person who couldn't even get into a university?
