Chapter: 1512
Anyone privy to the facts recognized Clare's misstep.
If evidence was put forth, the public's misconception would surely dissipate, right?
Jeremy scoffed at the suggestion.
“A mere clarification? A simple truth? Is that your solution?"
A bit baffled, the representative inquired, “Well... Mr. Bradley, what are you suggesting then?"
Jeremy, exasperated, extinguished his cigarette.
“Frankly, I can weather the animosity and disdain of the public. But Clare's audacity truly irks me. How can I ever face my idol if I let this slide?"
The representative, perspiring slightly, picked up on the subtext and nodded in response. He was well aware that Jeremy was referring to Maria.
Clare had been crafty in her maneuver. Clare had vaguely mentioned a critic from Yeez Entertainment but omitted that the critic was Maria.
With his anger evident, Jeremy declared, “I seek not just a narrative shift, but a reckoning for Clare. How could she challenge my idol?
This has to end!"
The representative recoiled slightly from the intensity in Jeremy's eyes.
"So... What's the plan?"
Unexpectedly, Jeremy whipped out his phone, dialed a number, and soon, a genuine smile stretched across his face.
“Hello? “Is that Judy? Jeremy here."
The person on the other end, unmistakably, was Judy.
“Hey, Jeremy! I'm out in the countryside, busy with the cows. What's going on?"
With a flattering smile, Jeremy inquired, "How have you been with computers lately? Made any strides?"
Judy's mood visibly dampened.
"Clark reckons I'm at the level Maria was during her high school days."
Clearly, Judy wasn't thrilled about his technological advancement, or lack thereof.
Jeremy reassuringly smiled.
"That'll do for my needs."
Raising an eyebrow, Judy asked, "What do you mean? You need tech help from me?"
