Chapter: 1682
Without giving her the chance to say anything, he strode to the bedside and took the laptop away.
Maria pouted and complained, "I still have a lot of manuscripts to write. My fans are urging me to release more updates..."
"Your fans are used to your procrastination. If you delay the updates for a few days, it won't be a big deal," Anthony retorted.
Although his tone was a little harsh, he was actually very gentle with her.
Anthony carefully adjusted the height of the bed and helped Maria Lie down again.
"As an author, I want to please my readers," Maria insisted. She was unusually stubborn today.
Anthony gazed at her for a while, then he suddenly leaned down and kissed her.
Time seemed to freeze.
The kiss lasted for a full minute. It was only because Maria was sick at the moment that Anthony decided to not prolong the kiss further.
"You like kissing..." Maria muttered in a low voice, her face red with shyness.
"I haven't found out about it before," she added.
"It's easy for you to blush. I haven't found out about it before.
Besides, you are only thinking about your readers. What about me?"
Anthony said softly.
Looking at him with innocent eyes, Maria blinked a few times and said, “How could I ignore you?"
"Well, in that case, our wedding will be held the day after your mother's wedding with Mr. Navarro."
Maria was speechless.
"We can hold it a few days later. There's no need to be in a hurry. Okay?" Maria tried to persuade Anthony to change his mind.
It was actually unheard of for a family to have two wedding ceremonies on two days in a row. Although the two weddings were for different brides and grooms, it still didn't feel appropriate to Maria.
However, Anthony wasn't going to change his mind so easily. He said seriously, "It's better if we have the weddings back to back. After all, both wedding ceremonies have the same guests. So, the guests can stay overnight."
From the way Anthony explained it, it seemed that he was being considerate.
"Are you really that impatient for us to get married?" Maria asked in a low voice.
Anthony didn't think twice and replied bluntly, "Yes. I'm in a hurry to make you my wife."
Since Maria was lying down, she needed to look up at Anthony.
Anthony was leaning over her, gazing at her with affection in his eyes.
Maria suddenly found that Anthony's deep eyes were filled with expectation, worry, tension and joy all at the same time.
And all of these complicated emotions meant just one thing. He loved her dearly.
