At the moment, everyone on the crew save the engineer had to go out into the wild to scrounge for supplies.

The senior players of Wasteland would know how good a new player was simply by looking at the number and quality of raw resources they collected.

Being in such a typical sandbox game, the players had complete control over their environment, even the dirt under their feet.

On the other hand, one's knowledge of the Wasteland environment and adequacy in auxiliary abilities would determine how many precious raw materials they could collect.

“I have extensive experience as a woodcutter and can confidently call myself a master. It is my intention to oversee the wood."

Using the axe the system provided, Lyndsey chopped down the tree while yelling.

“Top notch," Maria replied offhand.

She kept on excavating the mud and stones close by. Only seconds later she had amassed a mountain of coal and metal ores of all types.

The spectators were taken aback.

They were able to overhear the players talking thanks to the broadcast. "Top notch? What rank of miner does Maria hold?"

When a player has mined a hundred ores successfully, it's only then that they get to be promoted to Apprentice status. If they do this another thousand times, they can advance to the Skilled Miner tier. Another five thousand, the Master Miner tier. And ten more thousand times later, one may finally advance to the Geologist tier."

Geologist was the official designation for a max level miner.
