Chapter: 274
“But this is Maria's phone number, right? This is Vincent Geoffrey. Could you please give the phone to her?

I just have something to tell her..."

Vincent might be having a sore throat or something because his voice sounded a little intermittent and hoarse.

Foley didn't remember how long ago he had last seen Vincent, but he had been watching videos of Vincent attending various activities on the Internet. Therefore he was very familiar with Vincent's voice. He knew that the Legendary artist was indeed the one on the other end of the line.

“Hello? Who is this anyway?" Realizing that Vincent was talking to him, Foley was struck dumb and he started trembling violently.

But since Vincent hadn't heard a reply for a while now, he asked again, "What's wrong with Maria? Why isn't she the one who answered her phone? And why aren't you speaking anymore? Are you deaf?"

There was still no answer. After a brief pause, Vincent finally got impatient. In a louder voice, he said, “Hello? This is Vincent Geoffrey! This is Maria Jenkins' phone, right? Is she there? I have to speak with her, so please give her the phone!"

At this point, there was dead silence in the classroom. Lydia and the students didn't know exactly what was going on. Their jaws almost dropped, thinking if this was just a prank or not.

Even Vivian subconsciously took out Jadee and held it tightly in her hand. Soon, her palms began to sweat.

“Hello? Am I still talking to someone? Where is Maria? Why isn‘t she answering her own phone? Have you gone deaf? Don't you understand what I'm saying? Give the phone back to Maria. I have something urgent to tell her!"

Before Vincent made the scene more scandalous, Maria finally snatched back her phone from Foley, who Looked like his soul departed from his body.

She then turned off the speakerphone and strode out of the classroom to talk with Vincent.

“This is Maria. What do you want?"

Finally hearing Maria's voice on the other side of the line, Vincent was greatly relieved.

“Maria! What happened over there? Why is someone else answering your phone? Is that guy deaf?"

“Say what you want with me, or I'll hang up." Maria's eyes narrowed as her voice turned as cold as ice.

“No! No! Hear me out first!" Vincent pleaded, letting out a deep sigh.

“Okay, here's the thing... I'm kind of friends with the Wilson family. Well, to be exact, I'm close to Anthony and his grandfather. Anthony's grandfather, Michael, is going to celebrate his eightieth birthday soon. As his friend, of course, I've thought of giving him a gift. So, I decided to give him a new piece of jade carving, and I have actually finished the design already. But when I was about to do the actual thing, I accidentally sprained my right wrist. The doctor that checked up on me said that it would at least take a month for me to fully recover. Alas, Father Time has really caught up to me... I can't believe that such a minor injury will take a month to heal.

After listening to Vincent ranting for a while, Maria finally understood what he wanted.

Vincent couldn't make the gift for Michael by himself, so he was about to ask Maria to do it for him instead.
