Chapter: 29
Vivian snorted in disdain, but she couldn't tear her eyes away from Maria.
After all, what was Maria even doing here?
Did that country girl also dream of being a star?
The whispers of all the girls around her made Vivian feel Like a huge pressure had been put on her.
The entertainment industry was a place full of real-life miracles. The story of Cinderella turning into a princess seemed to happen every few years.
When Vivian applied for the role of Anne, she did so with the belief that she stood a chance of winning the part.
In fact, the most promising candidate was a female star called Lyndsey Mosby.
Lyndsey was a popular actress of Yeez Entertainment. Recently, she had won the Best Actress Award in a famous award ceremony.
In terms of acting skills, appearance, reputation, and the size of the fanbase, Lyndsey was in the top ten for sure.
Vivian could accept that Lyndsey was better than her, but why did she have to feel stressed after Maria's arrival?
Now, she had a faint feeling that the actress selected for the role of Anne would be either Lyndsey or Maria.
Perhaps even Lyndsey was not as suitable for the role as Maria was.
“Hello? I'm here. Where are you?"
Maria was slightly irritated by all the people staring and whispering about her, so when she spoke on the phone, her tone was cold and impatient.
If any of the women around could see Maria's phone screen right now, they would be shocked to see Jeremy Bradley's name on it.
Inside the Yeez Entertainment CEO's office, there was a girl that looked so alluring.
She was so beautiful that she looked like a fairy, especially in her delicate costume.
However, despite her appeal, she sat rather inelegantly at the desk with her legs crossed, much like a rascal.
“Can't you behave more like a Lady, Lyndsey?"
At this point, Jeremy, the CEO of Yeez Entertainment, kept massaging his temples with his hand. He seemed awfully frustrated.
“If at least one paparazzi snaps a photo of how you carry yourself in private..."
Lyndsey knew exactly what he meant, but she didn't seem to care about it in the slightest. Instead, she smiled at him so complacently.
“Fine, I'LL behave myself... but on one condition. You have to let me play Richard Wentworth!"
As if he heard something ridiculous, Jeremy's eyelids twitched.
"You want to be the Leading man?! Lyndsey, I need you to be the heroine for this show. If I let you do that, who's gonna be my female lead?"
