Chapter: 394
It had been many years since she cut off contact with the Smith family. As for her nephew Boden, Julie only had a vague memory of him as a child from years ago.
To her surprise, now he bore no resemblance to his childhood self. He was a handsome, young man.
It surprised her that Patricia had managed to get the Smith family in Broome to invest.
Although Julie had invested in the movie, Boden was actually the second largest shareholder of Hughes Group.
“May I call you Cousin Boden?" Vivian asked him like an elegant lady. She looked at him with a glimmering of interest.
Boden, returning her the smile, said, "Of course, Vivian. Just call me Boden. I actually often hear about you from Cheryl.”
Her entire face beamed with excitement and she exchanged number with him immediately.
Patricia watched them and smiled, not uttering a word. She had known this would happen.
Patricia contacted the Smith family in Broome to invest in her new company, yet she never even consulted her friend Julie before making such a big move.
But Patricia knew how even-tempered her friend was. She knew she wouldn't get angry. As expected, Julie watched the spectacle in silence.
On the other side, Boden was glad to have met Julie. He turned to Patricia and nodded his head in approval several times.
Boden's attitude represented other people from the Smith family.
“It's a pity that Bill couldn't show up today. He has something to deal with in another city. I wish you guys could have met today," Patricia said with a smile.
Boden nodded politely and said, "I will stay in Sheffield on behalf of my family for a short period of time. I am sure I will get a chance to see him before I leave."
Julie was surprised! Her marriage with Bill was strongly objected by her family. And now Boden was saying he wanted to meet Bill!
Was it his personal desire to meet Bill or was he speaking on behalf of his family? Did Smith family wish to put aside all the issues from the past?
“I'll send a message to Dad and ask him to come home as soon as possible. How about our whole family all go for a meal together?" Vivian took out her phone and texted her father.
Whole family? At the mention of that, it occurred to Julie that there was one more person missing. It was Maria.
Both Vivian and Maria were adopted daughters. It was only fair if Maria also got to know Boden.
Soon, Julie was entertaining some ideas in her mind. Perhaps she could really mend things with her family this time. And if they could accept Vivian, then it was possible for them to accept Maria as well.
