Chapter: 432
It was Boden who finally put her confused mind at rest.

He explained, "Miss Rodriguez, it seems that my cousin Vivian has been chosen by Master Vincent and will soon be announced as his disciple.”

Although he uttered these words in a low tone, Luella almost jumped back in shock, as if someone had stunned her.

She fought her urge to scream. Calming herself, she finally asked, “How could it be possible? She is the disciple of Master Vincent? How could she "

Luella had so many questions. She simply couldn't believe that Vivian was qualified for that.

Boden nodded his head and put on a stern face. "The information from Smith family has always been very accurate. According to the information we have collected, only my cousin meets the standard of Master Vincent's disciple."

After a short pause, Boden turned to Vivian and said, "Vivian, you should shed some light on why you want to borrow Miss Rodriguez's necklace and watch. If you have a good explanation for it, Miss Rodriguez will form a better impression of you."

Vivian smiled sweetly and said, “Cousin Boden, I hadn't the slightest idea that my master would take me as his disciple today. As you can see, I wasn't prepared for it. Take a look at my bracelets and earrings. How could I show up in them? If I wear these going on the stage later, it will be humiliating not just for me but my master as well!"

Although Boden's Knowledge about women and their jewelry was pretty limited, he had an eye for quality items.

He could tell that Luella's jewelry was much better than those of Vivian's.

When he heard Vivian's words, he found it quite reasonable and instantly believed it.

He smiled at Luella and said, "Miss Rodriguez, she is borrowing it only for a while. My cousin will give them back to you as soon as she is finished. Please take off the necklace and watch, for Master Vincent's sake."

There was nothing Luella could say to that.

She observed Boden's attitude sharply. It was with a pang she realized he had no interest in her and she had failed miserably in her attempt to win his favor.

He was hell-bent on supporting Vivian and had used Vincent's name to convince her to give up her ornaments. If she refused again, she would be regarded as neither sensible nor agreeable.

Luella felt a sense of regret. Among so many wealthy men, why had she stupidly taken the initiative to accost Boden?

“Oh? Is Miss Rodriguez unwilling to part with your belongings for a short period of time? It looks like you have no respect for my cousin and Master Vincent."

Vivian sneered.

“But it's okay. If my master blames me Later, I will simply apologize to him. I might get scolded but..."

Vivian didn't continue her words, and stood gauging for their reactions.
