While no one would care if she slept in, she thought it would be bothersome for Anthony if she continued to sleep on his lap.

She felt his body stir from underneath her. Maria didn't want him to notice she was awake, so she quickly shut her eyes. To avoid embarrassment, she pretended to be asleep. However, she doubted whether she made the right decision. Anthony wasn't an easy man to fool.

At that point, Maria was too comfortable to care. His Lap was the most comfortable pillow Maria had ever slept on.

“Ten minutes wouldn't hurt. No! Five minutes more. That might be too long. Fine, three more minutes!" she secretly told herself. Maria decided she would sleep for three more minutes before getting up.

When she made the decision, she felt relieved.

As time passed, however, she started to get anxious again.

She felt inconvenienced by her conflicting emotions.

Has it been three minutes already?

She was feeling so great, though. Did it matter if she sleep in a bit longer?

Maybe it hadn't been three minutes yet?

She decided it wasn't time for her to get up yet.

What if she counted to herself? When she reached 180, then she would get up.

Maria decided that was the best way to help her decide.

“1, 2, 3... 45, 47..." she counted in her head.

Unfortunately, she got distracted for a moment, and miscounted a number. The mistake was unforgivable to her.

She then decided to count from the beginning again.

"1, 2, 3... Ow! Who hit me?"

ALL of a sudden, she felt a light pat on her buttock

It wasn't a forceful nor painful snap, but meant to be a warning. Maria was enjoying her “pillow” too much.

She decided to forgive Anthony for the impertinent slap.
