Chapter: 446
Mathias added, "Next time you see your aunt, mention to her that I've met her daughter and I think that she is a lovely girl."
Huh?
Aunt Julie's daughter?
Boden thought of Vivian, who had already left Broome. He wondered when his grandfather had the chance to see her?
Moreover, knowing Vivian's character, if she had seen her grandfather, she would have told everybody about it.
But Boden still said respectfully, "Okay, Grandpa. I'll convey your message to her.“
“Okay...” When Mathias was about to hang up the phone, he seemed to remember something and then added, "By the way, I'm talking about her adopted daughter, Maria.”
Boden was confused. What? Maria?
Had she come to Broome?
And how could she possibly meet Mathias?
Boden didn't know that they had met at Jadforest Garden. Otherwise he would immediately conclude that Maria was Vincent's only new recruit. But Boden obediently did as Mathias ordered.
He dialed Julie's number and repeated Mathias's words to her.
Back in Sheffield, Julie put the phone down pensively.
She had a baffled expression on her face.
Bill, Vivian and Patricia were at home with her. All of them noticed that Julie was not herself.
They observed her quietly for a while. Sometimes she Looked confused, sometimes she appeared frightened, and sometimes she was imperceptibly moved.
"Mom, who was that on the phone? Is something wrong?" asked Vivian, more worried than curious.
“It's your grandfather. He asked Boden to call me. Tears surfaced in Julie's eyes.
Vivian was greatly surprised.
“Grandpa? Does Grandpa wish to see us? Did he ask about me?"
