Chapter: 485
While cleaning until they were finally finished, Anthony also remained silent. Afterward, he only said, "You can go now.”

With a slight nod, Jack left.

It was 11:50 in the morning right now.

Anthony looked at the clean and tidy, but empty kitchen. He glanced at the study on the second floor, but the door was still closed. It meant that Maria was still busily working.

In his frustration, he took out his phone and deleted the recipe that he had thoroughly studied last night. Left with no choice, he opened an application where he could order for a takeout.

At 12:30, Anthony entered the study, carrying the dishes he ordered and put them on the table.

“It's past twelve now. Have a rest first and let's eat lunch," Anthony reminded gently.

Maria looked at the delicious food in front of her, but she also quickly noticed the band-aids on Anthony‘s fingers.

She couldn't help but blush and feel guilty. In a timid voice, she said, "Thank you."

There was a bowl of lobster soup, a piece of pan-seared steak, and a salad.

Maria had a taste of everything and much to her surprise, each dish tasted better than the last.

"You are quite a good cook." She couldn't help praising him.

After some hesitation, Anthony nodded and said, "I am!"

The two of them would usually keep quiet during meals, but today they didn't mind exchanging a few words in between bites of food.

Maria smiled and said, “This lobster soup is full of flavors bursting in my mouth. I Love the taste of onion and lobster together. Could you add more onions next time?"

“Sure, no problem."

Anthony agreed without hesitation, but he secretly took out his mobile phone and gave a bad rating for the Lobster soup recipe he read Last night.

After all, there weren't any onions in the recipe!

“Please, try the steak." Anthony sliced a piece of the steak and placed it on Maria's plate.

"This Looks perfect! You did a good job by not over-cooking it. I Like it a bit burnt on the outside and soft on the inside. You're like a professional chef."
