“But what about the novel? I don't think there has been a new update today."

Glancing down at his watch, Boden found that it was already seven o'clock in the evening.

Would Polly's novel Song of Phoenix also stop updating today? It would be too much of a coincidence.

“It... It's okay." Vivian forced a smile.

“If I stop updating now, all I'll lose out is on some manuscript fees. But if I finish the script as soon as possible, the company and the Smith family will gain a lot of profit."

Vivian's words made it as if she was sacrificing a lot for the sake of her family and the company.

But Boden was not moved by them, and a frown actually tugged at his brows.

He couldn't refute Vivian's statement, but at the same time, he innately knew that no matter what, the best course of action for Vivian to take was to continue updating the novel.

Boden wanted to press on with trying to persuade Vivian, but faltered upon noticing that his cousin's eyes were underlined by dark circles, as if she hadn't slept well for several nights.

“Well... okay then. Do what you think is best. I will support you no matter what."

Being a softhearted man, Boden eventually gave in to his cousin's wishes.

When Boden left the luxuriously decorated multi-functional room, it wasn't without regret.

Of course, he had only taken a quick glance through the two books.

But even so, Boden found himself pausing in awe several times while reading Female Military Counsellor. He was amazed by the superior writing style and the intricate plot.
