Chapter: 50
Anthony had heard this term before, but he was not really familiar with 30
“Narcolepsy is a very special disease. Its cause varies with the individual, but most of them are psychological factors. This young Lady here has narcolepsy. I came here in a hurry, so I didn't bring anything with me. I can't provide any effective treatment for her for the time being."
Anthony listened to Christopher's words with a poker face as usual.
His eyes swept across Maria's face before falling on the phone next to her.
Jack however, gasped in awe. "Mr. Carter, you are so amazing! You diagnosed her in just a few seconds.”
Christopher kept silent and ignored Jack.
Jack was a Little embarrassed, thinking that Christopher didn't respond maybe because he didn't want to talk to a Lowly bodyguard.
After a while, Anthony asked, "Do you mean that there is no medicine for her condition?"
Christopher nodded.
“We have been working hard on developing specific drugs for narcolepsy.
However, almost all doctors agree that we must stick to the principle of specialized individual treatment for this disease, which means we have to customize a treatment plan for each patient. After all, the causes of their illnesses are almost completely different."
Since narcolepsy was caused by psychological factors, the most effective treatment was to solve the problem at its root. And since everyone had different things troubling them, the treatment method would also be different.
Christopher turned around and, noticing the slight concern on Anthony's face, added, "One thing we know for sure will be helpful for the treatment of narcolepsy is doing exercise. If she can go jogging or something like that every day, it will be useful for her."
“Doing exercise every day? Jogging?" Anthony murmured to himself.
In that case, it looked Like Maria would need someone to supervise her every day.
His gaze fell on the phone next to her pillow again
It was not the iPhone that Bill had bought for her.
It was a black cellphone issued by Heaven for their top-level hackers only.
Anthony's eyes slowly narrowed.
When Maria woke up, she found herself Lying on the thick cashmere carpet in her hotel suite.
She'd had a good sleep this time. The last thing she remembered before fainting was that she hadn't been able to make it to the bed.
"It looks like... everything is fine,"
Maria murmured to herself as she Looked around the suite.
There was no trace of movement. The only thing out of place in the suite was the phone lying on the carpet, which Maria recalled had slipped out of her pocket earlier.
Maria had been suffering from narcolepsy for many years, so waking up on the floor was a normal occurrence for her. In fact, compared to other times, her slumber on the carpet had been comfortable.
