Chapter: 513
Wasn't she just a country bumpkin?
What could Anthony possibly mean by saying Maria was outstanding?
Was it because she was pretty?
When Vivian and her parents stepped inside the Smith family's mansion. they didn't see Mathias at first.
Boden got off the phone and looked at everyone with an awkward expression. "Grandpa wants to have a word with Aunt Julie alone. Uncle Bill and Vivian, you two can wait here. Well... He'll see you... later."
The three of them had different expressions on their faces upon hearing that.
A frown furrowed Julie's eyebrows as she sighed exasperatedly.
However, she kept silent. In fact, she walked away in a certain direction without even saying anything to her husband and daughter.
Even after 20 years, everything looked familiar to Julie. Needless to say, she didn't needed to be shown the way around as she knew where to tind her father.
“Dad? Why is mom acting strange? And Grandpa, isn't he in a hurry to see his precious granddaughter?"
Vivian was both anxious and annoyed at the same time.
After all, she didn't expect reality to be so anticlimactic as she was expecting her grandfather to welcome her to the family warmly.
Bill was also a little embarrassed, but he smiled to make Light of Vivian's concerns.
“Don't be so impatient. If you want to be accepted by the Smith family, you will have to respect your grandfather's wishes."
Vivian rolled her eyes with anger.
It suddenly occurred to her that everything would be fine if only her Aunt Patricia were present. She would have answered all of Vivian's questions.
Vivian found her grandfather's attitude toward her very strange and unseemly.
Boden could sense the father and daughter's embarrassment as he had been with their family long enough to understand them well.
“Uncle Bill, Vivian, let me take you to the chrysanthemum garden. Grandpa loves chrysanthemums. We've arranged a nice Little spot in the yard for him."
Vivian's eyes lit up almost immediately and she said, “There's a garden? This must be a very big mansion!"
