Chapter: 520
Boden suddenly spoke, "If I remember correctly... Master Vincent announced that he would accept a disciple when we were at the Jadforest Garden a long time ago. Could that person be Maria?"
It seemed as though he had dropped a bomb in the garden with his words. Everyone had a look of wide-eyed surprise on their faces. Infuriated, Vivian said, "Boden, don't be silly. Maria doesn't even deserve..." Vivian broke off in the middle of her sentence.
She recalled that Anthony was right in front of her.
"Yes, it is Maria," Anthony said casually as if it was nothing out of the ordinary.
“That's remarkable," Boden said.
With a serious glint in his eyes, he continued, "I didn't know that Grandpa had met Maria at the Jadforest Garden until much later. According to the information I received earlier, only Maria is qualified enough to be Master Vincent's disciple."
The last time Boden was at the Jadforest Garden, he recalled hearing that Masters Vincent's disciple was a girl from Sheffield.
He assumed that the disciple must have been Vivian, but he was deeply mistaken.
The disciple turned out to be none other than Maria!
“Boden? Boden! What are you talking about? Maria... She... Maria's parents died when she was just a child and before she got adopted she used to Live in a poor village. She had to get a job to support herself after graduating high school. How did someone like her come into contact with someone like Master Vincent?"
Vivian blurted her feelings out and her words gradually revealed her true thoughts.
Rosalind and the others couldn't help but frown.
"Vivian sounds so hateful. We are a family. Why does she always speak ill of Maria?"
Anthony was the only one who wasn't affected by Vivian's words. His apathy stemmed from the fact that he had already known what kind of person Vivian truly was.
Vivian was indeed her father's daughter. She was as shrewd and sly as Bill.
She realized right away that she had said something wrong.
In an effort to conceal her embarrassment, she laughed dryly and acted as though she was appreciating the flowers.
Vincent probably took on Maria as an apprentice for the Wilson family's sake. Vivian believed everything Maria had was meant to be hers!
But how could Maria become a jade carving master in just a few days? And besides, she would probably be in her forties or fifties when she completed her apprenticeship, so who cared if she was studying under Vincent?
In order to display her splendor, she would have to wait for at Least 20 years.
