Chapter: 576
It went without saying it meant a great deal to Mia's fans.
But as Maria said, it was pretty much useless to her.
Lorraine was delighted to have received it. In the end, she took it and carefully kept it in her pocket. One could tell she was afraid of losing it.
It was an advanced internal card of the Mia Society, so few outsiders knew about its existence.
The Mia Society came with some strict rules. Members couldn't inquire about the identity of other members, nor could they publicize the inner affairs of the society to an outsider.
Lorraine strictly abided by the rules. Therefore, she didn't ask about Maria's identity in the Mia Society, nor did she tell Vivian what this white card meant.
She simply flashed Maria a grateful look. Lorraine's reaction to Vivian's gift was completely different to this one. She had seemed calmed and collected back then.
This filled Vivian with a sense of inferiority. Maria had outdone her! Humph! Anthony must have helped Maria again!
It was definitely Anthony's doing! This was so unfair! Vivian realized that ever since Maria had gotten engaged to Anthony in place of her, she had been benefiting in innumerable ways. Maria was making good use of the Wilson family! Vivian couldn't help but think it was all supposed to be hers!
It was hard for her to let this go.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. If Lorraine was not here, she would have made her anger obvious but now she was compelled to suppress it.
But then Vivian made herself feel better by thinking that at least she knew Lorraine was Mia. This was something Maria couldn't have known!
This thought brought her a bit of comfort and she held back her brewing rage.
Today her intention was to confirm if her aunt was indeed Mia. She had to focus on that.
Once all her doubts were dispelled, Vivian could start to make a plan to clear the suspicion of plagiarism in her novel Song of Phoenix.
“Aunt Lorraine, I heard that you were a top student of literature department at Yante University. That's amazing. I am fond of Literary masters!" Vivian flattered Lorraine.
Lorraine was stunned at this sudden compliment. She shook her head with a smile and said, “Well, I do write, but very rarely. How can I be considered a literary master for simply having a bit of interest in writing?"
She took a brief pause and a Look of melancholy crossed her eyes.
“I've always been in poor health, so I couldn't stick to a writing regime even if I wanted to. I had to entertain myself by reading other people's books but even that I'm unable to do as much as I want to."
She said she did write? Vivian eyes lit up. So it was true! Lorraine had written something!
