Being a big fan of Wasteland, Ron would never miss this opportunity to speak to his idol on the phone.

He called Darren via WhatsApp, but suddenly, a surge of misgivings washed over him.

Darren must be busy training himself even if he wasn't having competitions or attending events as the celebrity guest at the moment, right? Ron wondered what he would do if Darren did not answer the phone.

However, his fears were allayed.

The call was answered almost immediately.

“Master Maria! What's up?"

Darren's respect for Maria made Ron feel that he had misheard.

Back during the Yeez Team's exhibition game, Ron was grounded by his family for making serious mistakes. Besides, the Smith family gave him the worst punishment imaginable when they confiscated his phone and computer.

He never saw the game, nor did he have any idea that Maria held such a sacred position in Wasteland.

On the other side of the phone, Darren hesitated for a while before replying, "Hello, Cousin Ron."

Ron was so overwhelmed that his mind stopped functioning.

If Boden hadn't slapped him over the head and urged him in a whisper to continue with the game, he would have knelt on the spot and literally begged Darren to accept his friend request!

He handed the phone to Maria reluctantly. He stared at her, full of admiration in his eyes.

"Hello, it's me."

Ron's face twitched when he heard Maria's cold, aloof tone.

God, how could she talk to such a superstar in that tone?
