Chapter: 598
“I'LL add one for my cousin: He must be alive."
Maria continued, not minding Ron's banter, "He had to have superior computer skills and income-generating abilities comparable to mine." Everyone was taken aback by these two demands.
Vivian, in particular, believed Maria's desire for good financial capabilities was absurd, even though she didn't understand why she had such strict standards for computer technology
She could not resist sneering, "My sister is quite wealthy indeed. After completing high school, she worked as a part-time employee in a digital store. While she was making money, her peers could only get monthly living expenses from their families when they were attending colleges."
Generally speaking, merely graduating from high school wasn't anything honorable.
As long as they were not stupid, everyone could tell that Vivian was teasing Maria when she made a comparison between working her part-time job and attending college.
Lorraine fell into deep thought at Vivian's words. The two sisters didn't seem to get along well with one another.
However, Maria appeared to have ignored Vivian's sarcasm. She continued, "He had to be responsible for taking care of me. After all, I have narcolepsy and frequently fall asleep suddenly. I definitely need someone to look out for me."
People Like Lorraine, who wasn't aware of this fact before hearing her words, revealed surprised faces.
Narcolepsy?
It seemed like a complicated illness.
Lorraine looked at Anthony worriedly.
His Legs were handicapped, making it difficult for him to care for even himself. Could he take good care of Maria?
Anthony immediately felt everyone's eyes on him as soon as Maria finished her words.
He still appeared unconcerned and grinned, "It appears that I still need to work harder and improve myself.”
Did Anthony mean that he had yet to meet Maria's standards?
The others thought it was ridiculous.
How was Anthony not qualified?
How was this even Logically possible?
Even if he were unqualified, there would be, at most, one requirement he couldn't meet.
They recalled what Maria had said: a guy who was of marriageable age had advanced computer skills and enough money to support them, and he would have to take care of her.
After giving it some thought, the only reason Anthony would not be able to satisfy her standard should probably be ‘taking care of her."
He did have a disability, after all. It should be difficult for him to manage his own needs, let alone those of Maria.
They had no idea of his computer proficiency but assumed he was not terrible.
