Chapter: 618
She calmly stated, “As long as Maria is willing to marry Anthony, we shall solemnly welcome her to join the family, regardless of whether she is the heir apparent of any family. We will make her a member of the Wilson family and treat her Like one. She just has to be herself and the Wilsons will have always got her back!"

Jessica then cast a sideways glance towards Bill and Vivian.

Her eyes appeared to be saying, “This is the Wilsons’ attitude toward their daughter-in-law. Do you have any objections?"

Vivian immediately understood what Jessica had meant.

Although she was not convinced, she didn't dare to lose her temper. After for a long time, Vivian said, "Then... What if Anthony changes his mind? What if he wants to marry the real lady of the Jenkins family and not a country girl from nowhere?"

Vivian actually took a risk by saying that.

She was practically admitting that Maria had nothing to do with the Jenkins family.

If this matter was exposed, the Wilson family could end up blaming Bill.

In truth, she couldn't care less.

She was almost enraged today!

“That'll be our fault for not teaching him the proper meaning of loyalty. We should first teach him a lesson and guide him in aligning his ideals!"

Jessica's voice was clear and forceful, filled with self-righteousness. Maria tugged at the corner of Jessica's blouse.

“Don't say that. He won't do it."

Although Maria didn't speak loudly, everyone in the room could still hear her.

“Ha-ha!" Jessica Laughed.

Suddenly, she extended her hand and stroked Maria's head.

“You're right. Anthony isn't like that at all. I watched him grow up after all. You really have great confidence in him. Anthony is so Lucky to have you in his life."

Maria's hand froze and she released Jessica awkwardly. She was just trying to defend Anthony, but now she had gotten herself involved.

Vivian couldn't help but feel envious of Maria and the Wilson family's happiness.

“Well... Professor Wilson, how is my wife?"

Cory asked cautiously.

“Is it food poisoning? I'm actually planning to change all our chefs and servants. I won't take any chance."

Jessica, on the other hand, shook her head and stated, “She was poisoned, but it's not your food's fault. What was causing her current symptoms could only be cooked into a fluid, so we could easily rule out the solid food she ate. When your wife wakes up, ask her whether she has lately consumed anything offered to her by strangers."

“Okay! I'll get to the bottom of this Cory appeared determined.
