Chapter: 62
Every once in a while, Lily would report to Bill that the high-end desserts and fruits sent by the guests were about to expire and should be thrown away.
Bill never paid attention to such trifles. He would just absent-mindedly wave his hand and let Lily deal with it by herself.
Today, Lily had lied to Bill that two high-end gift boxes were about to expire. After getting permission from Bill to throw the gift boxes in the garbage, she had secretly taken them to a gift-recycling shop.
There, she had managed to sell the brand-new gift boxes at a Lower price. This was the source of Lily's extra income.
Lily hummed happily as she entered the house. As soon as she entered the kitchen, she found that the flour bag had been moved from its original place.
“It must have been that country girl again. Let me see how much flour she took," Lily murmured.
Since she hadn't prepared any food for Maria, she had guessed that the latter would cook something for herself.
When Lily opened the flour bag, she found that the amount of flour missing was far more than needed for one person.
"Could she actually eat so much? That's impossible! Then... did she steal the flour?”
At first, Lily was confused, and then her eyes lit up with excitement.
Just as she thought, Maria was a country girl with no guts at all.
There were so many valuable things in the Jenkins family house, but she only dared to steal the high-grade imported flour.
Lily laughed at Maria's cowardice, but at the same time, she was delighted that she finally had some dirt on Maria.
Making up her mind, she rushed to the door of Maria's room and knocked hard enough for everyone to hear.
“Come out! You shameless Little thing! How can you be so shameless?
Come out!"
The noise of Lily's thumping on the door echoed throughout the villa.
Even Vivian, who was practicing in the piano room upstairs, came down to see what was going on.
When Maria opened the door, she found herself face to face with a fierce-looking Lily. The joy in the latter's eyes couldn't be concealed.
“You stole something from the house!"
Seeing that there was an audience, Lily became more excited.
She pointed an accusatory finger at Maria and said to Vivian, "Miss Jenkins, I found her stealing. There's no debating it this time! I even have evidence!"
When Lily's words finally registered in Vivian's mind, she had to suppress a squeal of delight.
Vivian had a strong desire to prove that she was superior to Maria, and had tried to make things difficult for the latter several times in the past but to no avail.
But now, it seemed that Lily had caught Maria red-handed!
