Chapter: 621
“You're welcome. The bill is on the back of the prescription. Pay it soon."
Placing a cigarette between her lips, Jessica walked out of the room and took out a Lighter.
Quickly following her out of the room, Maria said in a low voice, “Thank you, Aunt Jessica."
To Maria's surprise, Jessica turned around and abruptly flicked her forehead.
“You are a patient too. How can you wander around Like this? As soon as your business here is done, you need to go back to Sheffield immediately!"
Julie held a family dinner.
However, it was not held at the Smith family's home but at the hotel where Bill and Vivian were staying.
The hotel they were staying was evidently the best considering that it had been arranged by the Smith family.
But looking at it from a different angle, Mathias did this because he would never allow Bill and his daughter to spend a night at the Smith family residence.
It was a small family dinner. Only Julie's husband and her two adoptive daughters were informed Anthony accompanied Maria due to her narcolepsy.
Julie had booked a private room.
She politely asked the wait staff to leave and not disturb them after they had finished serving the meal.
“What are you doing, Julie?”
Bill tasted the food, and nodded reluctantly.
“Although this is a five-star hotel in Broome and the food is not bad, it still can't be compared to the dishes cooked by the chefs in the Smith family. We can have dinner at home, Julie. There is no need to waste money."
When talking about “home”, Bill was clearly referring to the Smiths’ residence.
Bill regularly visited the Smith residence during this period of time and was quite pleased with how most of the Smith family members treated him.
Even though Mathias didn't spare any time in welcoming Bill, he nevertheless agreed to let Boden receive him politely.
Bill would consistently be at the Smiths' home for dinner on time. He treated the residence as his canteen.
"Yes, mom. How long should Dad and I stay in the hotel? Why can't we stay at the Smith family's mansion? I believe there are several empty reoms in the mansion."
Vivian was obviously not happy with the way she had been treated.
She had traveled to Broome to meet her grandfather as they had not seen each other in 20 years. How could she not reside at her grandfather's house?
If it weren't for the fact that Maria wasn't living at her grandfather's house either, Vivian would have thought that their grandfather was deliberately treating her that way!
“Let's eat first. Don't talk so much Julie gave Vivian a cold glare. Vivian was intimidated by her icy stare, and she kept quiet.
