Chapter: 624
In truth, she had calculated her dowry these two days, although she had no idea how much money Bill had kept away secretly.

“I will take only one-third of it, and the remaining two-thirds will be yours."

As she said these words, she fixed her gaze on her husband.

She wasn't sure what she expected to see as she looked into Bill's eyes.

Nostalgia?

Sorrow?

Or maybe regret?

If she were to see these emotions, she might be moved.

But to Julie's surprise, Bill's eyes were filled with fear and anger. He... What about his feelings for her?

Why was she unable to see love? They were planning to divorce after two decades of marriage! Why did he not have Love and sorrow in his eyes?

Julie took a deep breath and continued, “Besides, we have two daughters now. I have given this some serious consideration. I think it's best if Maria stays with me and Vivian stays with you."

Julie thought Maria was incredibly agreeable and she indeed adored her. However, Vivian was clearly closer to Patricia.

Her soon-to-be ex-husband would wed Patricia as soon as the divorce was finalized, and the couple would treat Vivian kindly.

Vivian would soon have a complete, happy family again because of this. But Maria and Bill had never been on the same page. In the future, they couldn't live under the same roof without fighting every single day.

Maria and Anthony were engaged, thankfully. When they were married in the future, she would be there for Maria as the parent she needed.

Julie believed that she was being thoughtful toward everyone.

She hoped everyone would be satisfied with that arrangement.

"I don't agree in the strongest possible terms!” A male and female voice roared simultaneously.

Bill's and Vivian's voices were so loud that Maria's eardrums hurt. Their faces turned ghastly. From their grotesque expressions, they did not think that Julie's plan to divorce was a good idea.

"Why?" Julie asked, uncomprehending.

She really failed to understand.

To be honest, she had taken everyone's needs into consideration and she did what she thought was in everyone's best interests. She was satisfying all. She was the one making the concessions, so what was the problem?

Bill needed money more than she did, so she handed most of the family property to him.

Julie didn't have social resources, and Vivian's acting career needed to be further advanced. If she could be with Bill, then Patricia would take better care of her.
