Chapter: 72
Lily couldn't help but feel very envious about Maria's luck. Just because of her pretty face, her Life was turned around.
Even though Maria was marrying a supposed Loser, because his family was ridiculously wealthy, she would still be able to experience and enjoy a Luxurious and comfortable life.
Dwelling on this thought, Lily was so jealous that she wanted to get back at Maria again.
Suddenly, an evil idea flashed in her mind. She would not make anything easy for Maria, and so Lily decided to pull another cheap trick.
At this time, the bodyguard pushed Anthony's wheelchair and entered the villa, while Lily guided them.
Letting out a subtle sinister smile, Lily suddenly shouted in front of Maria and Julie, “Mr. Wilson, I'm glad you're here! You should speak to Miss Jenkins and talk some sense into her. She's about to go out at night and hang out with some dubious people! You have to stop her!"
Although her voice was Loud, no one looked at Lily.
Even Anthony and his bodyguard, Jack, completely ignored her.
Of course, as the hostess of the villa, Julie felt embarrassed by Lily's rude and abrupt behavior.
She couldn't believe that Lily would have the audacity to act so poorly in front of such an important guest. Even if Maria truly made a mistake, Lily shouldn't have heedlessly exposed them to other people and brought shame to the entire Jenkins family.
Now, Julie was getting uneasy. She reckoned it was highly possible that Anthony would end up canceling his engagement to Maria because of this unfortunate incident.
After all, she couldn't find herself believing the rumors that Anthony was now nothing but a useless cripple. Despite relying on his wheelchair to move around, she felt that this former heir of the Wilson family was actually hiding his real power.
If she was right about him, then Julie thought that Vivian could have been too rash about not wanting to get engaged to him.
Meanwhile, Maria stepped away from Julie and walked towards Anthony.
“Shall we go?" As she stood in front of Anthony, Maria discreetly glanced at Jack.
Right then, Jack immediately understood and honored what it meant.
He nodded at Maria and quickly took a few steps back.
After Jack cleared the spot for her, Maria walked behind Anthony and took over the handles of the wheelchair.
“Let him do it." A Little surprised, Anthony slightly turned his head towards Maria. “I'm heavy. You'll get tired and won't enjoy the rest of the night."
Despite his protest, Maria shook her head and clenched the handles.
“No. I'll take care of you tonight. Besides, you shouldn't worry about me. I'm pretty strong. You'll see."
Anthony found it odd how Maria could be so confident.
He was 6.2 feet tall, well-built man. In addition to the weight of the wheelchair, she would be pushing more than two hundred pounds of total weight.
To his surprise, however, Maria pushed the wheelchair with ease. She looked like a skillful wife so used to taking care of her sick puspene
Anthony couldn't help but smile at the thought.
