Chapter: 814
“Oh, I see."

Vivian didn't mask her disappointment in front of Patricia.

“Don't worry darling. I will find you a great husband sooner or later," Patricia comforted her.

Since Vivian let Maria take her place, and lost her chance to marry Anthony, she was struggling to make sense of how she felt.

On one hand, Vivian couldn't really be with a man who had lost his right to inherit the Wilson fortune. To make things worse, Anthony was a cripple!

But on the other hand, whenever she met him, he proved time and time again that he was still powerful.

But, alas, all of these benefits were now Maria's. It had nothing to do with Vivian.

"Mom, who is it that we are going to meet?" Vivian's curiosity had been piqued.

“Jacqueline Bowles and her mother, Lara Bowles, the acting head of the Bowles family.”

When she heard the name Jacqueline, Vivian frowned. The Bowles Group had had a bad reputation ever since the incident involving Maria, and Jacqueline herself had also been criticized a lot.

And now she was going to see her in person. Vivian secretly hoped that she wouldn't take on any of Jacqueline's bad Luck.

But she was surprised that she would also meet Jacqueline's mother, the acting master of such a big family.

Patricia noticed her confusion, and explained, "Mrs. Bowles is a crucial figure. She's... Well, it's a long story. I'll just tell you on the way. Anyway, they invited us. You should be careful, especially with the recent incident."

“Yes, mom. Don't worry about me, I know.”

As Vivian spoke, she noticed her father coming out of the bedroom, yawning.

That was Patricia's bedroom. However, Julie was his real wife, not Patricia.

Vivian looked away instinctively.

It was not her first time seeing such a scene. She was beginning to suspect that Patricia and her father were making a deliberate effort not to hide it from her.

Everyone would find out about it sooner or later.

Julie had been staying in Broome for a while and had no intention of returning to Sheffield.

Vivian guessed her parents’ marriage wouldn't Last Long. When Mathias passed away and her father got his share of the money from his wife's inheritance, they would likely file for divorce.

Bill would probably win the case and successfully get the money from the Smith family. Bill might be having an affair with Patricia... He had been the Smith family’s son-in-law for twenty years, and taken care of Julie for all of that time. Bill's cut of Mathias's inheritance would be considered as compensation for him.

Now, Vivian had firmly taken Bill's side.

After all, Julie seemed to only be fond of Maria, while Patricia and Bill were nothing but good to her.
