Chapter: 824
"Ah! Of course. Yes, Master!"
Idris immediately took to asking Curt and Greta about their preferences and introducing all the fresh ingredients they had available at the moment.
When the food had almost been decided, Idris turned and looked to Maria apprehensively.
“Master, what would you like to eat?"
Maria pondered for a few moments, before saying, "That'll be enough. Please serve the dishes quickly. I will just make do with them."
Idris sighed in relief. "Okay. Please wait a moment."
After he had left, Maria turned to Look at the others, and was met with puzzled expressions from both of them.
“What's wrong?" she inquired.
Greta was stunned. "He's a three-star chef recognized by the Gourmet
Association. And you just said you'll 'make do’ with his dishes?"
Greta had no talent for cooking herself but enjoyed watching food programs.
She admired those chefs who had such skilful hands and were able to cook such gorgeous food.
“He wasn't Learning with me for Long. In my eyes, he's still a newbie," Maria said with a shrug.
The time she spent teaching Idris to cook happened to be the period when her narcolepsy was getting worse. She fell asleep out of the blue more frequently than ever before.
At a later time, she just had to let Idris learn for himself by following her recipes.
Curt was sitting back, watching with a scowl, when suddenly a thought crossed his mind.
Not only was Maria a talented writer, but also a good cook? He knew the chairman of the Sheffield Gourmet Association. He was old and didn't seem to have a successor. If he found out about Maria's talent for cooking, he would appoint her as his successor immediately. Then what about the Writers’ Association?
The thought of this scared Curt.
He slapped the table and stood up abruptly, making the two women jump.
“What are you doing? You gave us a fright!" Maria snapped at him.
Curt forced his scowl into a friendly smile.
"Well... Maria, it doesn't matter if you don't want to be the chairman of the Sheffield Writers' Association just yet. But I have a suggestion. How about you just join the association, and become a five-star writer for the time being?"
"Grandpa?!" Greta exclaimed in shock, leaving no chance for Maria to give an answer.
With the influence of Maria's secret identity, Mia, she was at least as good as any of the association's top members.
