Chapter: 863
They were still in a stupor, wondering what she meant when she said "great". Was she really going to start carving?

Maria held the carving knife just as an ordinary person would hold a pen. There were no exaggerated, deft movements.

She gently pressed the blade of the knife against the smooth surface of the marble. They watched her simple movements and were far from impressed.

Her efforts were fruitless. Although the carving knife was very sharp, it could not cut the marble. It barely scratched the surface.

However, the next second, Maria's breathing became a little heavier. Then, everyone witnessed a miraculous scene!

The carving knife in Maria's hand gently cut a small piece of marble. It moved so smoothly, as if she was cutting butter with a hot knife.

Her movements were simply sublime and elegant!

Maria was carving a flower.

The table's flat surface was an ideal canvas for the craft.

Maria already had an idea in her head, and she skillfully moved her hands to pull the image out of the marble.

A few minutes later, chunks of marble were lying on a thin layer of marble dust.

Despite carving from stone, Maria Looked relaxed and at ease. If they didn't know any better, they would have thought that she was handling a block of tofu instead.

“ALL right."

Maria finally put down her knife and stepped back.

"Is that it? You... What's that supposed to be?"

Raymond peered at the table, which was still covered with marble debris. It Looked like a pile of rubbish!

He might have been impressed by Maria’s handiwork just now, but it seemed that the results were far less appealing. The mess in front of him was no work of art at all.

“Maria has already proven herself,” Michael said glumly before she could utter a word.

“You all saw her use Vincent's signature technique. You should be convinced by this, right? If not, why don't you try your hand and carve something for us, then?"

Him? Carve something out of marble?

Raymond shrank back and shut his mouth.

The most he could do was smash a hole into the marble table with a hammer, but that was about it. It wouldn't be a large, noticeable hole, either.

Every piece of furniture in the Wilson manor was among the best and most expensive crafts from renowned galleries.

And he knew for a fact that the marble coffee table was the most durable there was in the market.
