Chapter: 877
She had a special and inexplicable sort of charm that went beyond her looks. It was obvious that she didn't only have her looks going for her. She was also well educated.
Merlin could tell this just by Looking at her. He only ever got this unique feeling from a few people. Maria smiled at him and answered, "Nice to meet you. Yes, I'm Maria."
“I knew I was right. You are indeed Maria! You clearly already know who I am, but I'll still introduce myself. Merlin, a student of Mr. Willows like you."
That simple introduction was enough for Maria to know the type of person he was, and she wasn't displeased.
Merlin was probably that type of person who enjoyed reading above every other thing.
He clearly didn't care about his titles, if not, he wouldn't have introduced himself with just his name.
Maria certainly liked that about him. While she was smiling appreciatively, all the others were in a daze.
“Mr... Mr. Newman... Are these people... I mean, are they your friends? I'm a little confused," stammered the staff member of the Writers’ Association that had been threatening them just moments ago.
He was so embarrassed after hearing Merlin's words. He had been mistaken earlier.
Maria wasn't just any William's student.
She was Mr. Willows’ student.
Curt Willows, the president of the Writers' Association in Sheffield and one of the three most famous writers in National Writers’ Association... Was really her teacher?
The man gulped in an attempt to wet his dry throat.
He was still trying to wrap his head around it. Mr. Willows had another student?
Everyone in Sheffield knew that Merlin Newman was Curt Willows’ only student, and everyone knew Merlin. It was impossible not to know him.
He became a three-star writer in his twenties! That alone was a great achievement .
To add to that, he was Likely to pass the four-star examination soon. If he continued to work as hard as he did, he would probably become a five-star writer before he turned forty. That would be breaking Curt's records.
His outstanding talent had opened a lot of doors for him. Only in his twenties, Merlin became the secretary general of the Sheffield Writers’ Association and the first candidate for the next chairman.
It really came as a shocker hearing that Mr. Willows had another student.
Who was this Maria in truth?
The man threw these questions from his mind and only prayed that she could forgive him for his insolence earlier.
Dora who had been silently watching cautiously asked, “Maria, do you know Mr. Newman? What I'm asking is... Are the both of you Mr. Willows’ students?"
Although she was shy and stuttered, she knew she was voicing the same question that was on everybody else's mind.
They were still in shock.
