Chapter: 940
She had recently seen Maria on a reality show and instantly became a fan. Because of this, she stuck close to Maria's side and clung to her Like a spoiled child.
The other participants took no notice of their interaction, but Sarah's face immediately darkened.
“Bring a cow to the hall, and she will return to the byre again!" she murmured to herself, rolling her eyes
Finally, there was only one person Left to audition
It was none other than Maria.
The other aspiring actresses had voted to stay as well. They wanted to see the difference between each performance, and determine their chances of possibly getting chosen to play the heroine.
Sarah sneered as she watched Maria walk into the audition room. She didn't see the other woman as a threat at all.
Except... Well, except perhaps in terms of her good looks.
Whoosh!
The moment Maria stepped into the room, Francis shot out of his chair, almost toppling it back with the force of his movement.
Greta was much calmer than him. The corners of her mouth did curve upward ever so slightly, but she was still more composed, seeing as she was able to remain in her seat.
“What's wrong, Mr. Jackson?" an assistant director asked in a low voice.
“What? I... Uhm, nothing." Francis cleared his throat to try and cover up his gaffe, and then sheepishly sat back down
The other participants were just as confused by his reaction, but none of them associated it with Maria's appearance.
“Can we start now, please?" Maria asked with a very visible frown. Huh!?
That attitude...
Judges and talents alike were taken aback by Maria's apparent arrogance. How could she speak to the judges that way?
Did she have any idea who she was facing?
One of them was Greta, a renowned chief editor in the online literature community!
Francis, one of the most coveted directors for both film and television for the last decade! His name was practically a seal of guarantee for a box office hit, on top of him being the top director of Yeez Entertainment !
How dare Maria talk to them in that manner?
Even Sarah was shocked by Maria's behavior, but it soon gave way to a sense of satisfaction. Just as she had expected, there was no reason for her to see Maria as a viable contender for the role of the heroine. How could this amateur who clearly knew nothing be compared to her? Francis sat up straight in his chair and spoke in a loud voice, “Of course, please go ahead.”
The assistant director whirled around and gaped at him.
Everyone in the waiting area were equally baffled.
