Chapter: 968
Anthony, huh? He used to be the next in line to inherit all Wilson family's property.
But now, he was just a cripple, no different from Jack who sat there and was desperately trying to regulate his breath.
Colin smirked at Anthony, a deliberate move on his part to provoke the other man.
Anthony simply ignored him, though. He didn‘t even spare Colin a glance.
Colin rolled his eyes and was about to turn away when an inexplicable fear suddenly gripped his heart.
His instincts screamed that something extremely dangerous was Looming behind him.
He was so freaked out that his knees went weak.
When Colin finally worked up the courage to look back at Anthony, he saw a beautiful woman pushing the wheelchair with one hand while taping a red phone with another.
Colin secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but confusion soon took over his fear.
Was it an illusion? But he was a powerful master, and his senses were never wrong.
Still, it was just a slip of a girl. She seemed totally harmless. What was wrong with him?
Colin quickly brushed off his apprehensions. His imagination must have gone haywire in the aftermath of his battle with Jack.
ALL eyes turned to Anthony and Maria as they approached. Of course, they eyes were focused more on their young master instead of Maria. The wheelchair stopped in front of Jack.
Maria stepped forward and reached out to tap him on the shoulder.
“Hey, Jack. Isn't it cold to sit on the ground?" she asked casually. The crowd was bewildered by her words.
What did it matter whether the ground was cold or not?
Anyone present with ears and eyes should know that Jack was severely wounded,
And yet, this pretty woman only cared that the ground was cold to sit on. How odd!
“No!
The girl called Betsey cried out nervously.
“Jack is seriously injured. If you touch him carelessly, you might disturb his concentration and make his injuries worse."
As if to prove her point, Betsey softened her voice, afraid that she would interrupt Jack's meditation.
Maria tilted her head at the girl and grinned.
“Don't worry. He is strong. He won't die."
