Chapter: 995
Before Maria could finish the countdown, Sophie wisely stepped back She also withdrew the hand that touched the other woman's chin.
Maria clenched her hands into fists.
Sophie noticed it and smirked. "We just met, but you want to hit me already. You must be jealous because I'm more beautiful than you."
Indeed, Sophie possessed a stunning beauty that made men practically unable to tear their gaze away from her.
That said, it was debatable if she was more attractive than Maria or not.
Maria was naturally beautiful, and she did not need cosmetics and luxurious clothes and accessories to prove that.
Meanwhile, Sophie exuded an alluring charm that could make men lose their minds.
However, this charm of hers would not be completed if she was not wearing revealing clothes and exquisite makeup and if she was not carefully maintaining her figure.
In short, Sophie's beauty was the result of her hard work.
"I'm going home,"
Maria declared before turning around to leave.
"Grandpa." Sophie sent Gary a meaningful look while pointing at Maria's retreating figure.
Then, she followed the other woman into the elevator.
Maria ignored Sophie even after they walked out of the elevator. Sophie went after Maria to the spot where Jack parked the car.
“Miss Jenkins, are we going back now? Oh, this is. Is she your friend?" Jack asked in surprise.
He wondered when Maria had such an attractive friend. Was she a movie star or something?
“Hi, handsome! I'm Sophie Newman, a scientist," Sophie introduced herself.
Jack became even more confused.
He examined the provocative clothes Sophie was wearing before turning to Maria, who had an indifferent expression on her face.
"So, is she really a scientist? She Looks Like a model or an actress to me," Jack muttered to himself.
“Professor Newman,” someone suddenly called.
Maria and Jack turned to see a man in a white lab coat. He seemed to be a researcher. He did not acknowledge Maria or Jack as he greeted Sophie.
“Is that you, Professor Newman? I haven't seen you in ages."
Another researcher, an older one, greeted Sophie. Like the first researcher, he ignored Maria and Jack.
