Chapter: 1472
Horace pondered Tyrone's claims.
“Tyrone visited the Fowler residence and alleged Sabrina's grievous distress. He demanded reparation.
Don't intrude further into her life."
"But what of Sierra?"
"Though you've treated Sierra well, she bears fault. But Sabrina, your biological daughter, mustn't bear the brunt. Your ex-husband is dead and Sabrina is innocent. Even if you hate her, refrain from causing her pain."
Rita hesitated.
“I... I'm compelled. I cannot just witness the Garretts take Sierra away.”
The revelation of Sabrina's biological father, Osiris, implied Rita had an affair, a less than commendable revelation. Sensing Horace's obliviousness to this, she chose silence on the matter.
"I shall implore Blayze to deal with the situation. Should that fail, my hands are tied. After all, missteps were made by Sierra. Sabrina looks like an admirable soul. Colleagues who've worked beside her extol her virtues. She recently clinched top honors in a photography contest, surpassing Sierra. If you desire a rapport with her, invite her to the Fowler domain. The Fowlers are eager to welcome her."
Rita was lost there. She perceived Horace's inclination to give up on Sierra.
Rita understood Horace's reasoning behind his words. Sierra was a troublemaker in comparison to Sabrina.
To Horace, Sabrina was a wiser choice than Sierra, given both of them didn't share a blood tie to the Fowlers.
Moreover, welcoming Sabrina into the Fowler family was entirely justified since Rita was Sabrina's biological mother. Besides, they could take advantage of this opportunity to mend fences with the Blakely family.
Rita's countenance darkened. Tentatively, she said, "But... Sabrina may be disinclined toward the Fowler family. Upon learning the truth of her identity, she asserted her mother passed on. The last thing she needs is maternal affection."
“Understandable. A separation of over two decades... But the animosity between mother and daughter? Kindness could alter her stance," advised Horace.
Horace stood firm. If Sabrina came to the Fowler family, she'd be Blayze's stepsister. With Sabrina in the Fowler family, Blayze's romantic feelings toward Sabrina would be rendered impossible.
Besides, Horace could likely get near Tyrone. Tyrone was Horace's biological son, yet Tyrone was indifferent to Horace, seemingly oblivious to this fact. Horace supposed Tyrone would get on well with him over time after Tyrone and Sabrina tied the knot again.
Rita was stunned. Her lips moved, finally conceding, “Fine, I shall endeavor."
After the call, Rita closed her eyes and held the phone, standing still.
Moments later, she hurled the phone against the wall, breaking it into fragments.
