Chapter: 1542
Sabrina smiled unconsciously as this idea flashed through her mind.
She had been a coward the past few days, but she dared to say harsh words to Tyrone because she subconsciously knew he would tolerate her.
“Wow, look at you," Bettie grumbled in a low voice, curling her Lips.
The woman in love smiled happily.
Seeing Sabrina's love-struck expression made Bettie think of Lance.
Bettie had no idea what tricks he played to become her blind date.
And she had no idea what Lance did to her father. For a while now, her father couldn't shut up about how good Lance was. His father even planned to make a match between her and Lance. There was no way she would agree to it.
After some rest, Sabrina went back to the filming set.
After the shooting was over for the day, Sabrina's assistant came forward with Sabrina's phone and said, "Miss Chavez, someone called you. He claimed to be a sergeant named Benson Robles..."
Benson was the sergeant who led the officers to the village to rescue Sabrina.
Sabrina took the phone and looked at the number. Then, she called him back.
"Miss Chavez, I'm sergeant Benson Robles. Zeke has been arrested."
During the interrogation, Zeke confessed everything about his involvement with the kidnapping. It was a gangster named Phelps Dury who had recruited him to kidnap Sabrina. When Phelps Dury was arrested, he told the police that there was a mastermind behind this, and it was this person who had paid him to get Sabrina sold to human traffickers. This very person was none other than Sierra.
When the investigation was concluded, Sierra and Rita were still in Mathias, while Horace had returned to Violetholt.
Horace couldn't stay in Mathias for too long so he asked Sierra and Rita to stay and find an opportunity to apologize to Sabrina and make things up.
It was relatively easy for the police to discover the hotel Sierra was staying in. They observed her for a while and confirmed she was in the hotel room before entering the hotel to arrest her.
The whole investigation was kept confidential. Due to the trauma, Sabrina didn't go out at all. Since Sierra hadn't heard any news about Sabrina, Sierra thought that her plan had succeeded and spent the next few days enjoying herself in Mathias. After another day of enjoying the luxuries the Fowler name afforded her, she went back to the hotel to rest.
When she heard someone knocking on the door shortly after she returned, she went to the door to open it, not at all suspicious of who could be there. The second she opened the door, she found two stern-faced policemen standing there. The hotel staff was behind them.
Sierra's heart nearly jumped out of her chest cavity, and her mind froze with fear. She didn't even have the time to think, desperately wanting to shut the door in their face.
How could such a small thing stop the police from arresting her?
