Chapter: 1905
"To save someone!" Lance snapped.

Despite the multitude of questions on his tongue, Lance's contact busied himself with locating the flour factory on Pearl Road. Not long after, he replied, "The satellite map shows the flour factory is dilapidated. It seems to have been abandoned. Be careful."

"I see."

"You..." Before Lance's contact could say any more, the call was already disconnected, prompting him to curse silently.

Lance stepped on the gas and sped toward the flour factory.

When he reached the suburb, the road was wide with few cars in sight.

Driven by the anxiety for Bettie, Lance ignored three red lights in a row and drove the whole way at full speed. Finally, he arrived at the flour factory in ten minutes.

This flour factory was indeed dilapidated, with rusty gates, cracked walls, and some collapsed roofs. The ground was a mess, full of branches and leaves as well as broken cement blocks.

Right in front of the building was a minibus with the same License plate number as the one captured by the surveillance video. Bettie's kidnappers must be around.

Lance drove straight into the flour factory, grabbed a steel pipe from the trunk, and confidently approached the factory gate.

Even from a distance, Lance could see what was happening inside through the rusty and broken doors. A man with a tattoo on his arm was trying to undress a struggling woman.

The woman's screams were garbled, but it was obvious that she was resisting him with all her strength. Lance registered the woman as Bettie due to the same green chiffon shirt.

Fury lit up Lance's veins and he saw red. He was so pissed he took off his glasses and threw it away. He readjusted his grip on the steel pipe and marched into the building.

The moment Lance walked in, a figure suddenly rushed out from the side, swinging an iron bar at him.

Lance had seen this coming, having known Bettie's kidnappers totaling three. He dodged the figure's strike and retaliated by swinging the steel pipe at the figure's head with full force.

The figure collapsed immediately, remaining in this unconscious state for the next several minutes.

At the sound of a scuffle, Bettie looked over. Her heart galloped wildly the second she caught sight of Lance. Filled with hope that rescue was imminent, she suddenly found the strength to struggle even harder.

Another man came at Lance, wielding a knife. However, before the man could get close to Lance, Lance swung the steel pipe, catching the man in the thigh. The man fell with a cry, but a livid Lance was beyond reason. Lance stepped over the man and started swinging the steel pipe with abandon. By the time Lance was done, the man's knife had fallen from his grip, nor could he try to reach for it. The man was too busy trying to protect his head from being bashed in.

Bettie's kidnappers had just arrived at this factory, bereft of human life. Having intended to rape Bettie, before any of them could even take off their trousers, they heard the sound of a car's engine from outside. None of them had expected anyone to find them so soon.

Fortunately, Lance came alone.
