Chapter: 1924
“River Mansion," Bettie answered instantly.
"Then, let's head to the realtor after Lunch to seal the deal."
Bettie was stunned, looking at him, “What did you just say?" Could she have misheard?
“After we eat, we'll go sign the papers for the house," Lance said, turning to look at her.
“What papers?"
“The ones to buy the house."
“Which house are we getting?"
"River Mansion. Isn't that your favorite?"
A smile spread across Bettie's face, as she struggled to contain her joy. “Lance, are you for real?"
"Absolutely."
Bettie wanted to laugh out loud but composed herself. “But that house is expensive..."
"Don't worry. Mr. Nelson knows we're getting a house. He might chip in as a way to say sorry."
“Can I not accept his help?"
“iihy's that?"
“I'd prefer if Keilani would just return to Philade soon and stay away from me."
Lance reassured Bettie with a smile, "Keilani's return to Philade is certain. It's separate from the financial aid we're discussing."
"Oh... Alright then, I'm in." Bettie's sudden change of heart prompted her to ponder briefly before suggesting, “I'll ring up Sabrina and see if she can chat with Tyrone about scoring us a discount."
Meanwhile, Sabrina enjoyed lunch with Tyrone and Jennie at the hospital.
Upon Bettie's call, Sabrina passed on the request to Tyrone.
Tyrone responded nonchalantly, “Sure, I can swing a five percent discount and toss in an additional set of furniture. I'll loop in the real estate folks."
